Orchestra’s Conductor Competition

Teatrul Regina Maria Piaţa Ferdinand I nr. 6, Oradea, Bihor, România

A new concept in orchestral conducting competitions, where members of the orchestra choose the winners. Each year the project travels to a different orchestra, giving conductors the opportunity to conduct different musicians and to be part of a different chemistry, which is always unique between a conductor and an ensemble. The 3rd edition of this international competition will take place in Oradea and will gather on the State Theatre stage conductors from all around the globe, cultural institutions’ managers and talented musicians.

Sounds of Oradea Festival 2024 brings together a lineup of top international artists who will perform in Oradea between June 14th and 16th: Angela Gheorghiu, David Giménez Carreras, Teodor Ilincăi, the Orchestra of the Oradea State Philharmonic, The Prague Cello Quartet, and the National Opera of Sofia, Bulgaria. Tickets for the performances are already available for purchase online and at the Oradea State Philharmonic. Bilete.ro platform offers the possibility to purchase tickets using debit/credit cards, as well as gift/cultural cards such as Pluxee/Edenred or Up Romania. The Flower Carnival and the Hungarian Culture Days

Every year, allegorical cars loaded with flowers cross the border from Hungary to participate in the event in the heart of Oradea. Alongside the unique flower cart parade, the event awaits everyone with performances, concerts, and cultural activities dedicated to the Hungarian community in Oradea.
